About Ozil Goal AI

Ozil Goal AI is an independent fan-made creative project dedicated to celebrating one of the most mesmerizing moments in modern football history: Mesut Özil's unforgettable 88th-minute solo winner against PFC Ludogorets Razgrad in the 2016 UEFA Champions League.

Our platform allows football fans, Sunday league players, and digital creators worldwide to transform a single portrait photograph into a cinematic 15-second vertical video recreation of that legendary sequence.

The Story: A Masterpiece in Sofia

On November 1, 2016, Arsenal traveled to Sofia, Bulgaria, to face PFC Ludogorets Razgrad at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League Group A. After battling back from a 2-0 deficit to level the match at 2-2, the game seemed destined for a draw.

Then came the 88th minute.

Mohamed Elneny launched a lofted through-ball over the Bulgarian defense. Mesut Özil timed his run to perfection. As goalkeeper Milan Borjan rushed out of his penalty area to sweep the ball away, Özil executed his trademark Özil Bounce—a deliberate downward chip that bounced over the sliding keeper.

Sprinting onto the bouncing ball inside the box, Özil did not rush. With two defenders desperately sliding in to block his shot, he dropped his shoulder, sent both defenders sprawling onto the turf, and calmly walked the ball across the line into the empty net.

Historical Fact-Check: Football retrospectives frequently confuse the November 1 away match in Sofia (a tense 3-2 victory featuring this solo bounce goal) with the October 19 home fixture at Emirates Stadium (a 6-0 victory where Özil scored a second-half hat-trick). Ozil Goal AI specifically commemorates the Sofia away-leg wonder goal.

A decade later, this goal erupted as a viral social media trend across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Fans began dreaming of seeing themselves, their friends, or their local club mates finish that exact sequence. We built Ozil Goal AI to make that cinematic dream accessible to everyone in minutes.

What We Do

Creating realistic character animations typically requires 3D modeling, motion capture rigs, or hours of complex diffusion prompting. Ozil Goal AI streamlines this entire pipeline into a simple, web-based experience:

1. One Photo Input: Upload a single JPG, PNG, or WebP photo of one adult person—yourself or a friend with their explicit permission.
2. Keep My Own Clothes: The preset instructs the model to retain the outfit visible in your photo; fine details can vary. Night Yellow Kit, Office Suit Mode, and Pet / Mascot Mode are not supported. To appear in a suit, start with a photo already wearing one.
3. Cinematic Output: Generates a 15-second, 9:16 vertical video rendered in either Standard 720p or HD 1080p. The rendering pipeline retains reference audio; check your completed video's sound before sharing.

Architectural & Privacy Standards

We believe creative AI tools must be built with engineering rigor and deep respect for user privacy:

• Minimal Data Retention: Your uploaded photos and generated video outputs are hosted on Cloudflare R2 object storage with an automatic 7-day expiration lifecycle. Once that window closes, files are automatically purged.
• Instant User Control: You can delete your videos and source photos at any time prior to automatic expiration directly via My Videos.
• Private Inference: We do not sell your personal data or use your private photos to train public foundation AI models.
• Secure Cloud Infrastructure: The application is hosted globally on Cloudflare edge infrastructure, backed by Cloudflare D1 databases, with authentication handled through Google OAuth 2.0 and billing powered by Stripe.
